Salmon Faverolles

  • Bearded Beauties! Faverolles are known as another dual-purpose breed ( good for eggs and meat). The hens can lay up to 240+ medium/large cream/tinted coloured eggs a year! The males reach 8 lbs and hens reach 6-6.5 lbs at maturity. Another breed that can go broody.

  • Faverolles are part of the Continental Class.

  • Physical Characteristics: Medium sized single comb (5 points), large and full beard and muffs, feathering on the outside of the leg and outer toe, 5 toes, and males and females of the Salmon variety have different coloured feathers (males feather in black, with white/cream and a deep russet brown on the back and wing, while the females feather in a rich salmon colour with the breast being a light cream).

  • Monkman's Poultry raises the Salmon variety of Faverolles in LF
