Wyandottes
-
An exceptional dual purpose breed that can withstand the harsh Canadian Winters. They lay between 200-240 large brown eggs a year. Males generally reach 8.5-9 pounds, while females stay around 6 pounds. This breed comes in both Large Fowl (LF) and bantam varieties. A docile bird; that can sometimes go broody, but don't worry they are great mothers!
-
Wyandottes belong to the American Class.
-
Distinct physical characteristics: yellow legs, a round head, short beak, rose comb, red earlobes, deep chest, and a round body shape. There are many colour varieties in Wyandottes including: White, Partridge, Buff, Columbian, Silver Pencilled, Blue, and Black.
-
Monkman's poultry breeds: Silver Pencilled, Black, Blue, Cuckoo and Golden Laced.

Partridge isn't available for 2022.
